The WEnyan Scholarship for Women in Chemistry & Allied Areas program’s goal is to empower low-income and marginalized women students in Maharashtra.

Eligibility of WEnyan Scholarship Program
Academic Research Project: Category A
- Available to female students in their last year of an undergraduate degree program (B.Sc., B.Tech., B.E., B.Pharm., or comparable).
- Open to female students completing their postgraduate studies (M.Sc., M. Tech, M.E., M. Pharm, or comparable degree) in their last year.
Product Development & Prototyping – Entrepreneurship: Category B
- Open to women who, within a year of finishing their graduate or postgraduate degree, are driven to pursue full-time entrepreneurship.
- Welcoming to female Ph.D. candidates, especially if their first or second year research focuses on product or prototype development.

For Women Seeking Postgraduate Science and Engineering Degrees (PG): Scholarship: Maximum monthly amount of ₹15,000 – Duration: 6 months

Application Process
The purpose of this application form is to give the selection committee a thorough grasp of the candidate’s background, passions, and dedication to the fellowship’s objectives.
- For Students: The candidate must apply in conjunction with a Principal Investigator (PI), such as a mentor, research guide, or in-charge teacher, and they must already have a project in planned.
- For Entrepreneurs: The candidate ought to submit a Proof of Concept (PoC) or a product idea in their application.

Selection of the Candidates WEnyan Scholarship
A Selection Committee made up of members from Industry and Academia will choose the winners of the Scholarship. The procedure entails notifying the chosen candidates once the panel has had an online meeting.
Applicant Selection Criteria:
- Academic Performance: Assessment of the student’s overall performance in their graduate or undergraduate program as well as their grades.
- Scientific Rationale: The standard and potency of the supporting scientific data and justifications for the project under consideration.
Scientific Interests: The student’s more general scientific interests, such as their enthusiasm for science-based entrepreneurship, research, or a job in the field, are taken into account. - Time Commitment: The student must devote a specific amount of time to the project, which must be executed full-time.
