Karlstad University Global Scholarship Requirements: Scholarship Conditions

Scholarships are awarded following the program selection process.

• Preference is given to applicants with strong academic performance and a clear dedication to studying at Karlstad University.
• Scholarships apply only to programs starting in the fall semester.
• The scholarship offer is valid only for the specified year and program in the notification.
• If students defer their studies to the next academic year, the scholarship offer becomes invalid.
• Scholarships are program-specific; changing programs may lead to loss of the scholarship.

Not Eligible for Scholarship

• You have already lived in Sweden for two years or more by the start of the scholarship period.
• You possess a permanent residence permit or a work permit in Sweden.
• You are receiving a scholarship for studies from the Swedish Institute or a Swedish university/university college.
• You already hold a master’s degree from a Swedish university/university college.

Deadline

The application deadline is April 6, 2025, and applications submitted after this date will not be considered. You must be admitted to a study at Karlstad University before you can apply for the scholarship.
