The Yu Laboratory at Indiana University Bloomington is aiming two Postdoctoral Fellows to join its creative research team. The lab will transition to Washington University in St. Louis (WashU) in July 2025, and successful candidates will be expected to resettle at that time. The primary research focus is on utilizing optical imaging and nanotechnology-based tools to analyze immune cell functions, including membrane organization and endocytosis

Qualification of Postdoctoral Fellow: Requirements
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in a appropriate field by the appointment beginning date. Outstanding candidates will have expertise in one or more additional of the following areas:
- High-resolution fluorescence imaging (for those with a strong background in optics, cell study experience is not required).
- Cell biology and biophysics, with a priority on cell membranes, membrane receptors, or intracellular membrane organelles.
- Immunology and immune engineering.
- Mechanobiology.
- Bioanalytical chemistry, especially in cell sensing technique development.
Candidates with interdisciplinary knowledge are also encouraged to apply, especially those who can contribute creative ideas and technologies to the lab.
Salary of Researcher
A competitive salary and benefits package will be provided. Each position is initially appointed for 12 months, with possible renewal based on implementation and budget availability.
